From 20 years ago, Kim Vu has been a pioneer in the field of distributing uniform fabrics in Vietnam. Continuing that spirit, Kim Vu continues to affirm its leading position when accompanying the University of Technology, National University of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMUT) to research and develop sustainable fiber solutions for the garment industry. Kim Vu's appearance on VTV9's "Net Zero Journey" with the story of pineapple fiber is a clear proof of this effort.

Kim Vu Fabric has launched the "Donating thousands of face masks, pushing back the seasonal influenza epidemic" project, with the goal of donating more than 15,000 antibacterial face masks to the community. This is not only a practical action, but also reflects Kim Vu Fabric's commitment to accompany the community, protect health and bring a peaceful life to everyone.

With the desire to not only provide quality fabric samples but also have good customer service, Kim Vu Fabric organized an in-depth training session on effective communication and consulting skills for our staff, especially business personnel. The event took place on August 15th, under the guidance of Mrs. Ngo Thi Hong, a reputable expert in the field of training at Van Lang University and College of Technology II, majoring in Tailoring and Fashion.

Today, the fashion industry is moving toward sustainability. A promising research project has been carried out in collaboration between Kim Vu Fabric and the Department of Textile Technology at University of Technology, National University of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMUT). Led by Associate Professor Dr. Bui Mai Huong and Master Tran Hoang Kim Ngan, the project has introduced pineapple fiber into the production of textiles and fashion products.

The rapid rise of fast fashion has led to alarming environmental consequences. This trend encourages consumers to shop frequently, driving mass production and rapid disposal of clothing. Tons of discarded apparel end up in landfills or pollute ecosystems, contaminating soil, water, and air. The striking image of the “world’s clothing dump” in Accra, Ghana, receiving 15 million discarded garments weekly, serves as a wake-up call to the destructive impact of fast fashion.

With over 35 years of development, Soai Kinh Lam Market (also known as Dong Khanh Shopping Center) has established itself as a leading textile hub in Ho Chi Minh City. The launch of the Soai Kinh Lam Fabric Street project marks a breakthrough in transforming this area into a vibrant commercial and tourism destination.

Texworld New York City 2024, held from July 16-18 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, was a vibrant convergence of global textile and fashion industry leaders. The event showcased innovative textiles, trims, and accessories, connecting manufacturers and suppliers with buyers from across the United States and beyond.
