Kim Vũ Fabric x Student Festival: Spreading Sustainable Fashion and the Spirit of Innovation

On November 8, 2025, at Cao Thang Technical College, the 2025 Student Skills Festival took place vibrantly under the direction of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union.

The event gathered hundreds of students from universities and colleges across the city, alongside numerous enterprisesfrom various sectors — all sharing a common goal: to enhance skills and promote the spirit of innovation and creativityamong Vietnam’s young generation.

Amid this energetic atmosphere, Kim Vũ Fabric brought its own story — a story of sustainable fibers and the aspiration to bridge traditional textile craftsmanship with the creative mindset of the youth.

Kim Vũ Fabric – Listening to the Creative Pulse of Students

At the Kim Vũ Fabric booth, the energy was nonstop. Groups of students, teachers, and business representatives stopped by to listen, exchange ideas, and experience firsthand eco-friendly fabric lines such as pineapple fiber, coffee fiber, and linen.

The Kim Vũ team didn’t just showcase products — they listened to students’ thoughts, expectations, and ideas about sustainable fashion, next-generation uniforms, and future market demands.

At Kim Vũ, we believe that true sustainability begins with understanding — understanding the next generation of consumers and creators who will shape tomorrow’s world.

Understanding to Innovate – From a Professional Perspective

At the festival, many teachers and educational institution representatives showed strong interest in specialized fabric lines for school and teacher uniforms.
Many shared that current uniforms are easily wrinkled, hot, and uncomfortable — especially for teachers who must stand and move around all day.

At the Kim Vũ booth, visitors had the chance to touch, feel, and try on various materials to sense the difference.
One student couldn’t hide her excitement after trying on a pineapple-fiber shirt, surprised by its smooth, naturally cool feel — a truly “green experience.”

The Kim Vũ Fabric team also shared their journey of transforming agricultural waste — from pineapple leaves and coffee grounds — into high-value textile fibers.

Each ton of recycled pineapple fiber helps reduce over 15 tons of CO₂ emissions — an impressive figure that opened many young eyes to a new perspective: Fashion can be creative and planet-friendly at the same time.

Sowing the Seeds of Sustainable Fashion for the Young Generation

Conversations about recycled materials, carbon reduction, and responsible consumption sparked meaningful new insights.

When young people understand the story behind each piece of fabric, they begin to choose clothing, create, and livemore consciously — making fashion not just an expression, but a movement.

Kim Vu Fabric x Nam Phong | Launch the old clothing regeneration project: A journey to create circular fashion

The rapid rise of fast fashion has led to alarming environmental consequences. This trend encourages consumers to shop frequently, driving mass production and rapid disposal of clothing. Tons of discarded apparel end up in landfills or pollute ecosystems, contaminating soil, water, and air. The striking image of the “world’s clothing dump” in Accra, Ghana, receiving 15 million discarded garments weekly, serves as a wake-up call to the destructive impact of fast fashion.
